If anyone is using a wireless router you should change your channel from default to a higher one, this will stop interference from other routers, microwave ovens and cordless phones. hope this helps.

The other thing you might want to consider is using a wired instead of a wireless connection. I started having some connection problems towards the end of the F1 2010 game, so I started using a long cable from the router to the PS3 (it's in a different room, so I got a 15m cable). I just roll it up and hide it away when I'm not using the PS3 online.

It's a much better connection than wireless.

Unfortunately that's not an option for me. Router downstairs, me upstairs.
If I run an ethernet cable from the ps3 to my computer will that work?

hmm... never thought of doing that, but it should work. Not sure how much it would help, since you'd still have a wireless connection from the router to the computer (i'm guessing). I suppose if you're able to position the laptop closer to the router and it has a better wireless card, with a better signal strength, than the PS3 then it could be worth a try. You need to configure some stuff on the computer to share its network connection once you've connected the PS3, but shouldn't be too complicated.

What's the reason that you can't run a cable down the stairs?

Hi! I have set a earth cable (30 meters cable) under the floor and it is working very well, nothing changed on computers, all i had changed is the setings on ps3 and plug cable. If anyone wants to chage the channel and don't know how, i sugest to ring your internet provider, that is what i did last year, they just login my computer and chaged on that ocasion, but the moden was just on the side of ps3, this year i've move and now the moden is too far so the best option. is get a long earth cable and plug in.  If you are too far the wireless conection gets too much interferece.

thats it i gotta get a job so i can by a cable.

Had almost no internet the last few days & called Telstra today & told me how to change channel.
Instantly fixed problem.
